Biography

Shoko is primarily a self-taught artist, whose painting of still life, flowers and landscapes have received many awards.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Shoko began painting in oils and watercolors as a teenager. Upon marrying, she moved to England and then to Vancouver, where she has lived for nearly forty years. Shoko's art is currently in the book "100 Ways to Paint Flowers and Gardens", Volume 1, published by International Artists Magazine.

Her artwork has appeared in over twenty exhibitions including three solo shows in Vancouver, and can be found in collections throughout Canada, U.S.A, Japan and Europe.
